The mining process

Diamonds lie waiting to be discovered, often in the most remote areas of the world, until some of the world's greatest mining experts begin the process of locating and liberating these treasures.

Using the latest exploration technology, diamonds have been found in some of the most remote desert and arctic areas; in deep kimberlite pipes, in riverbeds, under lakes and on the seabed.

Once diamonds have been discovered, they are carefully extracted from where they have lain undetected for billions of years.
