When Yasmin Le Bon made a promise to support Barnardo’s young carers, she meant it. On 4 October 2011, Yasmin made one of her visits to Havering Young Carers in Romford, England to meet some of the young people she has pledged to help.

“Barnardo’s is delighted that Yasmin is supporting our work with young carers and has taken the time to meet some of the children and young people who use our vital services,” said a Barnardo’s representative. “With so many adult responsibilities, young carers often miss out on opportunities to play, learn and enjoy a normal childhood. We are extremely grateful for Mrs Le Bon’s involvement in raising awareness of these vital issues. Yasmin’s generous promise will help us to provide fun days out where young carers can be children again, in the company of others who share similar experiences.”
