Forevermark celebrated its passion for promises with the world premiere of a new pas de deux choreographed by rising star, Liam Scarlett at the historic National Arts Club in New York City on Tuesday 30th July 2013. The ballet was inspired by Forevermark’s promise and performed live by the Royal Ballet’s most talented dancers, Laura Morera and Bennet Gartside.
The talented former dancer, who was last year appointed the first-ever Artist in Residence at the world-renowned Royal Ballet in London at the age of 26, appeared on stage at the end of the performance to talk a little about the collaboration and thank guests for attending the intimate event. Scarlett’s pas de deux explores the theme of enduring and unbreakable promises and is set to a classical piece of music composed by award-winning composer-musician, Paul Gladstone Reid.
The eclectic crowd was hosted by Scarlett, Charles Stanley, Forevermark US President and Stephen Lussier, Forevermark CEO and included actor and jeweller Waris Ahluwalia, model Anabela Belikova,
Olympic silver medallist and figure skater Sasha Cohen, DJs Chelsea Leyland and Caitlin Moe, as well as New York City Ballet choreographer Justin Peck, model Beth Ostrosky Stern and stylist Cleo Wade.
