The Last Giants: Lecture by Levison Wood - In aid of Tusk and the Living with Wildlife Appeal
Forevermark is proud to have sponsored Levison Wood’s lecture in London in partnership with Tusk. The renowned British explorer, writer, photographer and Tusk ambassador recounted a collection of his stories and anecdotes from his experiences travelling across Africa.
The lecture included his personal insight into the issues of conservation facing us all today, something that he experienced with one of his most recent treks where he was embedded with a migrating herd of elephants crossing the spectacular Botswana landscape. As part of this unique trek he explored the rapid decline of the elephant, one of the world’s favourite animals. With this being such a critical time for the African elephant, in his lecture, Levison hoped to inspire people to act now, to learn more and to help save this species from permanent extinction.
This fascinating lecture was held as part of the Living with Wildlife appeal, run in partnership between Tusk and Send a Cow to raise funds to lift people out of poverty and protect the wildlife of Uganda’s Murchison Falls National Park.
