Now, Forever
We are believers in Forever. Through the twists and turns, the ups and downs, everyone goes on a different journey towards true love. Every step you take now, is a step towards your Forever.
Trends first spotted on the runways are increasingly having an impact on high jewellery design and styles. Following the recently concluded AW17 Fashion Weeks, here are the key trends that will shape diamond jewellery looks in the seasons ahead.
As seen on the red carpets of the Oscars and Golden Globes, earrings continued their reign as the accessory of choice on the catwalks. “In colder months, we tend to cover up more, so it makes sense that for Autumn/Winter, earrings will come to prominence, as they are not dependent on sleeve length, or open necks,” says Federica Imperiali, Forevermark’s Trend Expert and Head of New Product Development.
From ultra slim threads to elaborate curtains, the cascade silhouette presented a wonderful opportunity to introduce movement to earrings. “In particular, it was exciting to note the dominance of ear climbers dripping with sparkling stone fringes,” says Federica Imperiali. “This is an increasingly in-demand choice for diamond jewellery lovers too.”
Head turning statement earrings, particularly oversized hoops with super fine bands, or set with large solitaire stations breathed new life into this iconic form. For lovers of the classic-with-a-twist aesthetic, cluster studs combined multiple cuts in a single design.

When it came to neckwear, short lengths prevailed with the choker dominating looks; attractive styles worn high on the neck composed of generous, round stones and fully pavéd surfaces with smooth, curved forms gave chokers a sleek, modern flavour. This approach to jewellery settings was notable in arm wear too, with models’ wrists embraced in cuffs covered in rows of stones.

AW17 shows saw gorgeous wraparound styles which encircled the arm in a very feminine way and which, despite their scale, are extremely versatile due to their timeless nature. A return to heritage styles was notable in bracelets fashioned from intricate rectangular panels. Wide and slender variations styled in pairs created an overall effect that was a clever marriage of modern and vintage.

Heritage influences were extended to rings where classic heirloom styles had subtle updates through a focus on larger-than-usual proportions. Cocktail rings sported a large central, halo-surrounded stone and the three-dimensional nature of sculptural floral forms rewarded closer inspection from every angle.
Jewellery was also adorned in innovative, distinct ways; full finger rings and glorious hand pieces with petal-set tendrils that scrolled around wrists and fingers were the sort of styles that will boost the cross-cultural appeal of the very finest diamond jewellery styles in the coming seasons.
