Freida Pinto

Forever to me is something that is ever changing. It goes up. It goes down. It's good. It's bad, but everything, at the end of the day, is a learning experience.

Freida Pinto’s Journey

Actress, model and humanitarian, Freida Pinto reflects on what Forever means to her.

Raised in Mumbai, India, Pinto began her career as a model and television presenter. Her big break as an actress came with her role in the 2008 film Slumdog Millionaire, which saw her win the Breakthrough Performance Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, as well as nominations at the British Academy Film Awards and the MTV Movie Awards. Pinto has since gone on to star in Rise of the Planet of the ApesTrishna and Desert Dancer.

As well as acting, understanding that she is a role model to many, Pinto is passionate about using her own voice to try to change the humanitarian conversation and talk about women’s empowerment. This is something that is close to Forevermark’s heart and aligns to our own contribution to the provision of good quality healthcare and education, and support for women entrepreneurs and their businesses in diamond producing countries.

What does ‘Forever’ mean to Freida Pinto?

Forever for Pinto is something that is ever changing. Whether it’s relationships or a job, it will forever change. Whether this is positive or negative it’s about the experience that this gives you, what you learn from it and take forward with you Forever.

We are proud to have worked in partnership with both Freida Pinto and Time Inc. in a video series, Beyond the Brilliance, that explores the role of diamonds in Pinto’s life and work, as well as why she chooses to work with and wear responsibly sourced diamonds.

Now, Forever

We are believers in Forever. Through the twists and turns, the ups and downs, everyone goes on a different journey towards true love. Every step you take now, is a step towards your Forever.
