Now, Forever
We are believers in Forever. Through the twists and turns, the ups and downs, everyone goes on a different journey towards true love. Every step you take now, is a step towards your Forever.
Four inspirational women and four unique voices. Forevermark has collaborated with Time Inc. to produce a four-part video series, “Beyond the Brilliance,” which captures a Forevermark diamond's journey from the perspective of four extraordinary women: actress Freida Pinto, designer Jade Trau, fashion editor Melissa Ventosa Martin and gemologist Leah Baranov.
Although each is influential in her profession, they all have one unifying trait: a vested interest in responsibly sourced and sustainable goods, a mission that Forevermark is dedicated to. With each diamond taking an incredible journey from the moment of its discovery, only the most beautiful, rare and responsibly sourced diamonds can qualify to be Forevermark.
In an intimate setting, each woman explains the role of diamonds in her life and work, as well as why she chooses to work with and wear responsibly sourced diamonds.
Actor Freida Pinto is best known for her roles in Slumdog Millionaire and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Raised in Mumbai, India, and surrounded by life’s inequalities while growing up, Freida was inspired to use her own voice to try to change the humanitarian conversation.
With her life in the limelight and understanding that she is a role model to many, Freida is always committed to understanding the story behind what she is wearing. Here she discusses the importance of consumer responsibility, her commitment to women’s empowerment and why she takes pride in knowing the story behind the Forevermark diamonds she wears.
For Forevermark jewellery designer Jade Trau, as a fifth generation diamantaire, diamonds are in her DNA. She is most proud when working with Forevermark diamonds, knowing that she is part of a meaningful chain of socially responsible work.
Here the talented artist discusses what made her want to be a jewellery designer, how she creates a new design and what Forevermark’s commitment to responsible sourcing and female empowerment means to her.
Formed over billions of years within the earth, a diamond has a deep connection with the natural world. Therefore, conservation is key, with the protection of wild habitats and the species they sustain at the core of Forevermark’s ethos.
This belief is equally as important to the fashion director of Travel + Leisure magazine, Melissa Ventosa Martin. Understanding that seeing the world is not a luxury but a privilege and that consumers want to know the origins of what they purchase, Melissa is committed to showcasing brands that responsibly source their products.
With her passion for travel and her love for colour and trends, Melissa explains why she believes Forevermark is a model for integrity in today’s fashion landscape.
As part of its incredible journey of discovery, before a diamond can be sent to Forevermark, it must be thoroughly checked and rigorously examined for any flaws or imperfections that impact its beauty. This is the role of gemologist Leah Baranov from Premier Gem. Ensuring that only the most beautiful diamonds of superior quality become Forevermark, this role is both her honour and passion.
Leah discusses why the diamond’s journey is extraordinary, what makes a diamond’s value increase and why working with Forevermark diamonds is so rewarding.
Extraordinary, individual, and thought provoking, each of these women inspires us with her passion for the empowerment of women and the importance of responsible sourcing. This is a meaningful subject that will always be at the heart of Forevermark, now and forever.
