The Inaugural Leopard Awards

A celebration of jewellery, in aid of The Prince’s Trust

A star-studded guest list gathered at London’s historic and opulent Goldsmith’s Hall to celebrate the wonder and awe that jewellery inspires in film, fashion and art.

In aid of The Prince’s Trust, the Leopard Awards is an initiative launched by leading figures from the world of British jewellery known as the London Leopards – Solange Azagury-Partridge, Susan Farmer, Theo Fennell, Shaun Leane, Stephen Webster and Carol Woolton.

Forevermark was honored to invite fashion and jewellery designer Bibhu Mohapatra to this prestigious event. Illustrating his own passion for jewellery, Mohapatra showcased his fine jewellery collection for Forevermark wearing the Star and Moon Brooch, part of the Forevermark Artemis™ Collection.

The future stars

In an event celebrating both the creativity and craftsmanship as well as the past, present and future of British jewellery, the Leopard Awards also saw the launch of a new mentoring programme for emerging designers.

Looking for the best in tomorrow’s designers, in partnership with The Prince’s Trust, the mentorship programme will award young craftspeople and aspiring jewellery designers the opportunity to train in the workshops and studios of the London Leopards.

Preserving Forever by investing in the future, the brief given to the designers was to design a piece of jewellery inspired by the spirit of London. The winning designs will be produced under the guidance of four of the Leopards and then go on to be sold at their own stores and boutiques, with all proceeds from sales donated to The Prince’s Trust.

Diamond desserts -
The Forevermark Black Label collection

Just as dessert was about to be served, British Vogue’s jewellery editor and London Leopard Carol Woolton announced that four guests would discover a gold star beneath their dessert, winning a De Beers Forevermark cushion cut diamond from the Forevermark Black Label Collection.

The Forevermark Black Label Collection is a new generation of diamonds. The collection is a result of years of research by diamond experts that have defined and revolutionised a new standard of excellence for round and fancy shape diamonds. With exceptional craftsmanship, the diamonds are cut with supreme symmetry, allowing the diamonds to sparkle like no other.

Each of the winners will then have their Forevermark Black Label diamond set into a unique piece of jewellery designed by one of the four Leopards – Shaun Leane, Solange Azagury-Partridge, Theo Fennell or Stephen Webster.

We feel honored to have been part of such an inspiring evening and fantastic cause, and look forward to seeing how the beautiful Forevermark Black Label diamonds come to life.
